Inside Two Sails

This is a monumental and minimalist sculpture, where two black iron plates represent two sailboats in a competition, from a lateral point of view. Otherwise from a central point of view, it is possible to recognise the shape of our beautiful Garda Lake. Walter Xausa projected this work as a tribute of his adopted country, Desenzano del Garda, in 2006. Then, has been strongly insert into the projects along the promenade of Desenzano, thanks to the architect Visconti from Desenzano. Nowdays, the project is waiting of development, but Xausa is ready to adapt the work as a sport trophy for sailboats race or with other municipalities of Garda Lake, in order to make this dream comes true.

Brontosaurus Triumphal Arch

The project consists in a Brontosaurus Triumphal Arch in a minimalist style, where lines and contrasts are the main characters. The final work would imply the use of materials like cement and bronze or rusty sheets. The artist, Walter Xausa, through the peculiar shape of this sculpture would like to remember the Jurassic world, with a particular attention to the Brontosaurus. The peculiarity of this work is the presence of slots and grooves to render it brighter and lighter.

Little Deer

The material used by the Master Walter Xausa for this sculpture is the tin, which is the main subject of the work. In fact, the tin has been used for the realization of the skeletal system and for the horns, whereas the leather has been realised with drops of tin. The peculiarity of this deer, which is mentioned also in the title of the work, is its heigh, which wants to underline the contraposition between the longhorns and the short legs.

My Venus

Through this tuff sculpture, the artist wants to create his personal version of Willendorf’s Venus/ Aphrodite, by pointing out not only prosperous breast and glutes, but also the back represented with the uncovered skeleton, in order to communicate the raw and painful, which a woman suffers during her fertility process.

Dog With An Ear

This sculpture, realised in a black and white clay, is the attempt of the artist to create a futuristic shape, a dog that has only an ear, which is something unique in its genera. The work can be better appreciated by observing it from a lateral point of view.

Sleepy Hawk

This tuff sculpture was realised during Walter Xausa’s academic period and it was obtained from a waste block to which the artist was able to give a new life. The lines and shapes give volume to the work and are useful to give a dynamic perception of the hawk, which is at the point of fall asleep.

Monumental Tomb

This is an academic project of a family monumental tomb. The Master Walter Xausa creates an upside-down pyramid, where the tunnels are below and achievable through the stairs. On the top, the tomb was surrounded by a fence, as it was a lived house entrance to give the sensation that the defunct is still alive.

Immigrants

The polyhedric artist Walter Xausa takes the inspiration for this work by selecting photographs and documents of a local community of immigrants. Noteworthy is the way through which the artist incorporates these documents into the work. The sculpture consists of a building, whose architecture is inspired by a luggage, where the inside includes all the collected finds, whereas the outside is characterized by postmarks.

Urban Sculpture Drafts

These minimal drafts, suitable for city centres, have been created with a polystyrene base and pieces of iron. The contrast between light and shadows is possible thanks to the use of thin bars inserted in a white marble, which play the role of the main characters of the works. These sculptures have been thought from Walter Xausa in order to be put in a funny way into city centres.

Harp

It consists of the reproduction in the scale of a monumental harp realized in bronze and irregular elements, which remind to the movements of the cords, created by Walter Xausa. These sculptures can be a bench harp, where people can sit and play the harp, whose cords could be inserted in the hole of the sculpture.

Magma

Through this sculpture the Master, Walter Xausa, would like to honour his last painting style, the Conceptual one (which can be discovered in ‘My Art’ section), but above all, he would like to leave a message to contemporary artists. The work is characterized by a long frame, which reminds to black art or to a sensual figure and this frame seems to be alive, because it seems to block the elusive colour substance. According to the Master, frame and colour cannot be divided because they remain the base of past, present and future art.

Now Here

Coming back from a wonderful journey in the USA, the Master Walter Xausa retakes some pictures of San Diego (California), in order to create a modern idea for the touristic cities in POP Style, through a photomontage. The subject is a pushpin, which has been zoomed in and put in an urbanistic context, like the sidewalk or the street. The message that this pushpin wants to communicate is ‘here I am’, for those who are looking at us from above, like Google Maps. The Master with this sculpture points out the geolocation concept, increasingly widespread on social network posts. Moreover, it can be seen as a touristic attraction: an original way to promote cities with photographic content, published on social networks…obviously, without forgetting to put the geolocalization.
