INSIDE TWO SAILS is a monumental public sculpture created in 2025 by the Italian artist Walter Xausa and installed on the Lungolago of Desenzano del Garda (Brescia), in the heart of Lake Garda, Italy.

The sculpture represents one of the new contemporary symbols of Lake Garda and is part of the waterfront redevelopment project of Desenzano del Garda.
Standing 7 meters high and made of iron, the artwork formally recalls two sails interacting with the lake horizon, becoming a symbol of movement, openness, and connection between human presence, architecture, and landscape.
Artistic Concept
The work by Walter Xausa was conceived as a vertical sign within the horizontal landscape of Lake Garda.
The two sails are not merely nautical elements; they become a metaphor for:
